Abbotsford, BC –
Julia Tuchscherer's 25 points on the night was matched by Viktoriia Filatova, as the UNBC Timberwolves (1-7) defeated the UFV Cascades (2-6) 68-63 on Friday afternoon at the UFV Athletic Centre.
How it happened:

A 9-0 run in the middle portion of the third gave UNBC a lead and, with 10 points in the quarter from Viktoriia Filatova, the Timberwolves held a 53-48 advantage going into the fourth.
UFV clawed back, tying up the game at 59 on a pair of
Fania Taylor free throws. However, UNBC responded with a pair of Filatova buckets and a pair of Aurora Cabrera free throws saw them take a 66-61 lead as they closed out the game.
