How it Happened:
UBCO started the game hot on an 8-0 run. The Cascades would battle back to tie it up at 15 after a Julia Tuchscherer bucket, but the Heat would cap off an 8-2 run with a Tsuki Tsuzuki bucket to lead 23-17 going into the second.

In the second quarter, the Heat built on a 12-point lead thanks to a Kiana Kaczur three. The defence was crucial, with a Williams steal leading to pivotal points. The Cascades tried closing the gap, with a Kyanna Knodel layup cutting the deficit to six, but UBCO regained control to lead 43-33 at halftime.

UBCO started the third quarter strong, stretching the lead to 12 points The Cascades tried closing the gap with an Esther Allison bucket to make it a five-point game, but the Heat maintained their lead with key plays, including another Kaczur three, bringing the score to 51–43.

In the fourth quarter, the Cascades would cut the UBCO lead to just one as Miah Schuurman made it 59-58, before Julia Tuchscherer hit a jumper to tie it up at 64. The Heat would pull away again late however, and a Lilly Pink jumper sealed it to see the game end 73–69.
