Graduated from Maple Ridge Secondary . . . lettered in basketball, soccer and softball . . . was a member of Softball BC’s provincial team . . . that team won a provincial and western Canadian championship… senior girls Fraser Valley champion in grade 10 . . . placed third at nationals with the British Columbia provincial team in grade 10 . . . included on that team were current Cascades Taylor Claggett and Amanda Thompson . . . Fraser Valley championships second team all-star in grade 12 . . . played in the Fraser Valley all-star game in grade 12 . . . named athlete of the year in her grad class… recipient of the Alan Blair Award for true spirit in soccer.
 
CLUB
Played for head coach Al Tuchscherer and the Junior Cascades teams… club teammates with current Cascades Taylor Claggett, Amanda Thompson, and Victoria Jacobse.

PERSONAL
Parents are Jackie and Ken Head… Jackie played volleyball and was a marathon runner, and Ken played baseball . . . has two older brothers, Keegan and Jamie . . . Jamie earned a spot on the provincial baseball team and took home 3rd place at nationals in 2009 . . . Kate is currently studying Kinesiology and working towards a career in the medical field . . . hometown is Maple Ridge, B.C.
