WBB PREVIEW: Cascades aim for top of Canada West in 2022-2023

Maddy Gobeil and the UFV Cascades women's basketball team are primed to push for the top of the standings as they begin their 2022-2023 Canada West Season.

Ranked at number two in the annual Canada West coaches' poll, the Cascades will be looking to build on their strong performances that allowed them to finish the regular season with a 15-3 record and the second-best defence in Canada West.

UFV has had a strong preseason, collecting six wins out of six, including victories against Brock University, the University of Windsor, and Western University on their Ontario road trip.  

The Cascades open their 2022-2023 Canada West campaign with a trip to Edmonton to face the MacEwan Griffins at 5pm (PT) on Friday and 1pm (PT) on Saturday. Every game, all season long, can be watched live on canadawest.tv.
