"This weekend was a good barometer for us. Arguably this was the number one and number two teams in the country that we played. We had pretty good results, we didn't get wins, but we played hard and we know if we want to get to that next level what we have to get better at."
"What I love about playing these teams this early in the season is it sets the tone. It sets the tone for practice, for our intensity level, and our discipline and intensity level. We can wallow in our self pity about the results, or we can put on the hard hat on Monday, tie up our shoe laces and work on the things that are important for us to be successful."
Up next:
The Cascades return home for a pair of games next weekend against the UBC Okanagan Heat. The games can be watched live at the UFV Athletic Centre, or online at canadadawest.tv.
