Abbotsford, BC – Marcus Flores scored a game-high 21 points, as the UFV Cascades picked up a 95-71 victory over the UNBC Timberwolves on Saturday night at the UFV Athletic Centre. 

With five wins in their last six games UFV improves to 5-4, while UNBC drops to 2-7 on the year. 

How it Happened:
The Cascades continued where they left off the previous night, as a Jaylen Lee and-1 put them up 15 points at the end of the first. The two teams would play the second quarter tightly but UFV, bolstered by 13 first half points from Marcus Flores, went into the break leading 51-35.

The teams traded buckets throughout the third quarter, but the Cascades would take full control once again in the fourth. Dario Lopez hit a jumper at the five-minute mark of the final frame to cap off a 14-2 run and seal the game. 

Notable:
Flores led the game with 21 points for UFV, while Bennett O'Connor added 12 points and nine assists. Ismael Hernandez, Dario Lopez, and Dilveer Randhawa each chipped in 11 for the Cascades.

Isaiah Bias led UNBC with 15 points, while Haukur Davidsson had 12, and Justin Sunga added 11 off the bench.
