Storylines
Men's Basketball
- The UFV Cascades (5-4) play host to the division leading TRU WolfPack (7-2) this weekend at the UFV Athletic Centre. UFV will look to finish off a tremendous month of November bolstered by last week's return of star forward Dario Lopez from injury. TRU is coming off their first two losses of the season to Victoria. The Cascades are currently fourth in Canada West scoring, but will have their work cut out for them to find points against the conference's best defensive team with the WolfPack are allowing just 65.3 points against per game.
Women's Basketball
- The UFV Cascades (3-6) are coming off a disappointing weekend split with the UNBC Timberwolves last week, but will look to get back on track with a pair of games at home against the TRU WolfPack (3-6). Two wins for either team will help pull them within striking distance of a Canada West playoff spot at the December break.
Women's Volleyball
- The Cascades (5-3) will look to finish off a strong fall semester with a pair of wins over the Calgary Dinos (3-5) this weekend. The Cascades are 4-1 so far in the month of November, while Calgary is just 1-3 throughout the same stretch. The bye last week saw the Cascades fall out of the U SPORTS national top-10, but will hope to climb back up in the rankings in their final two matches before the break.
Men's Volleyball
- It's a much win weekend for the Cascades (0-8) and the Calgary Dinos (2-6) in Calgary. With the Canada West playoff picture becoming clearer, both teams will be looking to pick up the much-needed victories in a rematch of last season's play-in series.
