Played at Whatcom Community College . . . Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) North West Region 2^nd team all-star . . . WCC team MVP . . . in 30.7 MPG over 21 games . . .  Elissa averaged 13.6 PPG, 10.9 RPG, and 2.8 blocks a game.

Attended Cornerstone Christian School in Lynden, WA . . . lettered in basketball, volleyball, soccer . . . recipient of the Lynden Kiwanis club scholarship and the Mt Baker Rotary club scholarship.

Parents are Marvin and Bernice Vreugdenhil . . . both parents played at Fraser Valley College (now UFV) . . . older sister Trina played one season at Whatcom Community College and was also an assistant coach at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC . . . also has three older brothers Adrian, John, and Russell, and one younger brother Craig . . . currently enrolled in general studies weighing options of the Bachelor of Agriculture or the Bachelor of Science programs . . . hometown is Sumas, Washington . . . Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for the Sumas fire department.
