Junior Cascades is a youth sports club affiliated with the University of the Fraser Valley athletic department.

The club was established to to provide a development pathway for school-aged athletes in the Fraser Valley, while providing current UFV Cascades student-athletes the opportunity to give back to the community through coaching and mentorship roles. The program encompasses on-court training, tactical instruction, strength & conditioning, and mental performance.

The Junior Cascades brand launched in 2006 as a girls basketball club helmed by UFV women’s basketball head coach Al Tuchscherer, and achieved great success in growing the sport in the Fraser Valley. The Junior Cascades expanded its offerings in 2019 to include volleyball, through partnerships with a pair of local clubs – Flyers Volleyball (girls) and Orangemen Volleyball (boys).

The ongoing Junior Cascades expansion will also feature initiatives in soccer, strength and conditioning, summer camps, and more.
