Alexander Harvalias played three seasons of PACWEST volleyball for the Capilano University Blues – the last two years under current Cascades head coach Nathan Bennett, winning a conference title in 2013. He went on to play his final two years of eligibility at the University of Saskatchewan, helping the team finish fifth and fourth at nationals, respectively.
Alex works as a teacher with School Districts 35 and 43. He is also a golf professional with the PGA of Canada, instructing both youth and adults. During the summers, Alex competes in the local professional beach tour and plays in the National Beach Volleyball League. He has coaching experience at a variety of levels on both the hardcourt and in the sand, from 13U girls, 18U boys and girls, and as an assistant at Capilano.
Alex is excited and appreciative of the opportunity to be part of a program committed to the development of athletes, students, and quality human beings.
