Cascades up to No. 6 in national rankings

The University of the Fraser Valley women's volleyball team took a step forward in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national rankings after splitting with the Camosun Chargers on the weekend.

The Chargers came into the series ranked No. 4 in the nation, with the Cascades checking in at No. 7. Camosun won Friday's opener in four sets, but UFV bounced back to win Saturday's rematch in three straight.

When the new CCAA rankings were released Tuesday, the Cascades had moved up to No. 6 while the Chargers fell to No. 7.
