Jake Willemsen went 7-10 from three point range on Saturday, as the UFV Cascades closed out their second win of the weekend over the MacEwan Griffins on Saturday at the UFV Athletic Centre.

With the win the Cascades move to 7-9, while the Griffins fall to 2-12.

How it happened:
MacEwan opened the game on a 6-2 run, but the Cascades battled back to level the score at 15. After the teams traded buckets, a Matthias Klim jumper gave UFV a lead going into the second quarter.

Dario Lopez hit three free throws early in the second for UFV to cap off an 11-2 run and put the Cascades up 31-19. UFV kept up the pressure and they took a 48-33 lead into the break. 

Ismael Hernandez and Willemsen combined for 16 points in the third as the Cascades added 10 to their lead, and cruised through the fourth for a 32 point victory.

Notable:
Willemsen scored 23 points, while also going 7-10 from beyond the arc. Dario Lopez added 23 points of his own in the game, while Takeshi Croke picked up nine boards, nine assists, and six points.
