Storylines
MSOC
  • With a 4-0-2 record In their last six games, including a 6-2 victory against Saskatchewan on Sunday, The Cascades will look to keep the good times rolling in a pair of important matches in the Canada West playoff race against the UNBC Timberwolves.
  • UFV Striker Mateo Brazinha is currently tied for the career record in assists, and one goal shy of the program's career goals record. With 7 goals and 2 assists, last year's conference player of the year is a threat to take sole possession of both records in the coming weeks.
  • The Cascades have scored 20 goals while conceding just five through their first seven games.
WSOC
  • The Cascades continue their homestand this week, facing off with the UBC Okanagan Heat, and TRU WolfPack this week. Led by Kiana Langston, who has a team-high three goals through the first eight games, UFV will look to get back to winning ways and into contention for a playoff spot.
GOLF
  • The Cascades golf teams head to Ontario in their last competitive tune-up before the Canada West golf Championships in October. The teams are looking for another strong performance after the men finished third and the women finished fourth at the University of Lethbridge last week.
  • Andrew Biggar will look to build off a third place (+3) individual finish on the men's side in Lethbridge, while Coral Hamade will look to once again lead the women's squad after a sixth place (+23) finish.
Conference standings
  • MSOC Standings: Cascades (4-1-2) sit third in the pacific, while UNBC (3-4-2) currently sits fifth in the pacific.
  • WSOC Standings: The Cascades (2-5-1) are currently sixth in the Pacific division, while TRU (5-3) and UBCO (2-3-1) are second and fifth respectively.
