Kelowna, BC – An 11
th minute goal saw the UFV Cascades' women's soccer team (2-4-0) fall 1-0 to the UBC Okanagan Heat on Saturday evening in Kelowna.
How it Happened:
UBCO started the first half with a strong offensive push, taking the lead in the 11th minute when Neala Peters scored, assisted by Abigail Taneda, marking Peters' first goal of the season.
An 18

UFV goalkeeper
Alana Madec came up with a big stop on UBCO's Taneda in the 31

Jaidyn Jackson had the Cascades best chance of the half in the 45
th, but after receiving the pass from
Kiana Langston, her shot sailed wide of the left post.
Both teams had chances in the second half, with Madec making a number of big stops, but UFV was unable to find an equalizer and the game finished 1-0.
