MVB: Cascades fall in three to efficient Huskies

Saskatoon, SK – The University of Saskatchewan Huskies were efficient at the net, as they defeated the UFV Cascades in three sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-19) on Friday.

The loss sees UFV drop to 0-15 on the season, while Saskatchewan improves to 8-9.

How it happened:
The Huskies powered their way to the opening set win, as they scored 19 kills and tallied just five errors in the opening frame to take it 25-15.

UFV would battle back picking up nine kills to Saskatchewan's eight in the second set, but a pair of late Saskatchewan runs would see them take a 2-0 advantage.

Saskatchewan would take that momentum into the third, as they found an early edge and carried it through while finding 13 kills compared to another eight from UFV to close out the match.

Notable:
Roan McCarthy led the Cascades with eight kills, while Kian Bos, Easton Sarich, and Matthew Liboiron each had three. Setter Silas Van Huizen had 16 assists in the match.

Emmett Graham led the Huskies with 12 kills on the night, while Isaiah Mamer had 10.
