Abbotsford, BC: The UFV Cascades played against the Alberta Golden Bears with a strong first half before slowing down in the second half as Alberta battled to tie up the score and continue their own win streak.

This match brings UFV to 6-3-3, while Alberta is moved to 4-3-2 on the season.

How it happened :

The UFV Cascades found an early lead against the Alberta Golden Bears in the 17th minute, when Mateo Brazinha would pass the ball from the left side in the box to Kevin Mailand who swiftly shot it into the net.

They continued to find more opportunities and Brazinha found one when Dante Colebourne sent the ball up midfield and Brazinha brought it up into the box, moving around Alberta defenders and got UFV's second goal of the match in the 42nd minute.

Coming back from halftime, Alberta's offensive line pushed back hard hoping to come back in the game.

While Alberta works to find an opening against UFV's defensive line in the box, an own goal is scored against UFV making the score 2-1 in the 74th minute.
Quotable:

"I think we did well after the goal. We bent but we didn't break and we were disciplined and organised and we grinded and did what we needed to do." - Tom Lowndes, Head Coach
