Abbotsford, BC - Joaquim Dharamsi's first goal in Canada West clinched the victory late in the game as the UFV Cascades took down the TRU WolfPack 3-1 on Saturday evening at Rotary Stadium.
The win pushes the UFV Cascades to a 2-3-1 record, while TRU's drops to 4-2.
How it happened :
It was hotly contested in the opening half, as both teams battled to get an edge, but it was TRU that would strike first when Lachlan Will hit a first time volley from outside the box that deflected off a Cascades defender and over UFV goalkeeper Matheus De Souza in the 30th minute to open the scoring.
Ebi Igali made a big impact for UFV in the 37th minute when, in his first game back after a red card last weekend, when his free kick rebounded to the foot of Aidan Fitzgerald who slotted home the equalizer.
The Cascades continued the momentum into the second half when Michael Beecroft pounced on a loose ball in the box to give his team the lead in the 59th minute.
Joaquim Dharamsi sealed the result for the Cascades in the 89th minute when he clipped the ball past the TRU keeper and slid it into an empty goal to make it 3-1.

Fitzgerald's goal was his first of the season, and the second of his career.Â
Dharamsi's late goal was the first of his career in Canada West.Â
Beecroft has goals in two straight for teh Cascades.
