BEFORE UFV
Played one season at Whatcom Community College before transferring to Thompson Rivers University, where she started 15 of 16 conference games played for the 2021-22 season . . . led the team in minutes (27.3) and points (7.6) per game, along with 1.2 steals, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per outing . . . set a career-high 17 points November 27 and 5 assists October 30, both against Okanagan rival UBCO.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Mennonite Educational Institute in Abbotsford . . . lettered in basketball, volleyball, and track & field . . . played on the senior varsity team from grade 9 through 12 . . . was named Athlete of the Year in Grades 10 and 12 and co-MVP of the basketball team in her senior year . . . led MEI to the Fraser Valley championships each year.
 
CLUB
Played for coaches Paula Thompson and Shayna Cameron with 3D Basketball, where she played alongside future Cascade teammate Google Sidhu . . . won gold at the B.C. Summer Games in 2014, competing for the Zone 3 team coached her father Tim Smith alongside future Cascades teammates Deanna Tuchscherer and Nikki Cabuco.
 
PERSONAL
Parents are Tim and Sylvia . . . has two brothers, Trey and Cade . . . older brother, Cade Smith, is a professional baseball player for the Cleveland Guardians, who was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2017 after competing for the University of Hawai’i  . . .  working towards her Bachelor of Science in Biology with career aspirations in overseas humanitarian work or education.
