THE MATCH-UP

It's said that styles make fights, and when the Cascades and WolfPack get together, the chemistry between these provincial rivals tends to produce physical, entertaining matches. The WolfPack are currently tied for first in the West Division while the Cascades sit seventh, but UFV has two games in hand and will be looking to make a big move up the standings.

RECENT FORM

The Cascades are coming off their first victory of the conference schedule, and it was a signature win to say the least, as they blitzed UBC 5-1. They'll be looking to transfer that momentum, particularly at the offensive end of the pitch, into lasting success.

TRU, meanwhile, is coming off a weekend split at home vs. Trinity Western – they dropped a 2-0 decision last Friday, but bounced back for a 1-0 win Saturday.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Trevor Zanatta, UFV – The third-year midfielder from Coquitlam opened a lot of eyes last Sunday, racking up a Canada West single-game record four assists on his way to CW men's soccer player of the week honours. He's one of Canada West's elite.

James Fraser, TRU – The WolfPack's fifth-year forward leads the team in scoring with three goals – the most recent of which came in injury time on Saturday to give his team a 1-0 win over TWU.

QUOTABLE

"It meant a lot, because we felt that over the first five games, we'd been hard-done by. We should have gotten more out of those games. Finally, last game, it came together and we were able to score goals and create opportunities. We know we can score a lot of goals now. It gives us confidence moving forward." – Cascades midfielder David Parfett, on his team's breakthrough performance vs. UBC

"TRU is really physical – it'll be a huge battle, like it was Friday night (vs. UBC). But they've got bigger guys than UBC. We've got to match the fight, match the battle. As well, they've got some good international players we haven't played against before, and we'll have to figure those guys out. But we've just got to do our own thing, like we did Sunday night." – Parfett, on the challenges posed by the WolfPack
