The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women's soccer team fell 3-0 on Saturday to the University of Victoria Vikes, and 2-1 to the Trinity Western University Spartans on Sunday at the annual Keg Cup tournament in Victoria.
After a young Cascades' side was held scoreless by the hosts on Saturday, TWU caused them problems early on Sunday. The Cascades found themselves down 2-0 after eight minutes of play, but UFV found their footing and that scoreline held to halftime. The Cascades pushed late to get back into the game, and
Kiana Langston pulled a goal back after a pass from
Jaspreet Deol. However, that was as close as the Cascades would get, and TWU claimed the bronze with the 2-1 win.Â
